Chase Murphy - Tip of the Iceberg

Today marks the release of Boston rapper Chase Murphy’s latest EP, Tip of the Iceberg. The release is the rapper’s fourth and most ambitious EP as of yet.

Murphy has been working with Icelandic producer Fríó (Huginn Goði Kolbeinsson) for a couple of years and their collaboration continues to be fruitful with their latest release. The EP is produced by Fríó and New York native Dale Cheon, mixed by Fríó and mastered by Adam Murtomaa here at Kaiku Sound.

The entire EP was written, produced and recorded during Murphy’s 3 month stay in Iceland during the autumn of 2021, with visits from Cheon to assist with the production of the EP.

Tip of the Iceberg features a variety of different sonics and tracks, including a guest verse from Chicago legend Mick Jenkins on the track No Peakin’.
