The Studio

About the studio

Our studio consists of three different spaces: a large live room, which can easily house an entire band, a nice, acoustically treated control room, and a sizeable booth that we use for podcasting, which comfortably seats four people.

The studio is equipped with a MacMini, filled with industry standard plugins and DAWs (Pro Tools, Ableton Live and Logic Pro X), two audio interfaces (Antelope Audio Discrete 8 Synergy Core and a Focusrite Clarett OctoPre), which allow for up to 16 channels of recording, and our fantastic pair of EVE Audio SC307 studio monitors.

At Kaiku Sound we have a humble collection of microphones, which consists of a stereo matched pair of AKG C414 XLII microphones, a Warm Audio WA-47 tube microphone (a Neumann U47 clone), a few Shure SM7b and SM57 microphones, a pair of Audio Technica AT2020, a Sennheiser e602-ii and an Antelope Audio Edge Solo.

As the studio is still quite young, we’re constantly looking to add more exciting pieces of gear to our arsenal.
